Step 1: Enter Your SGPA for Each Semester

Step 2: Add Credits (Optional)
If your university gives different credits to each semester, enter them in the Credits box. The calculator then gives a credit-weighted CGPA. If you leave every credits box empty, it calculates the simple average of your SGPAs.

How to Convert SGPA to CGPA: Calculate CGPA of All Semesters
Here’s how to convert SGPA to CGPA by hand:
- Collect the SGPA of every completed semester.
- Note the credits for each semester.
- Multiply each SGPA by its credits.
- Add up all those results.
- Divide the total by your total credits.
No credits listed? Add the SGPAs and divide by the number of semesters instead. Either way, use only completed semesters, and keep two decimal places until the final answer.

Worked Examples: Calculate Your CGPA
Example 1: Two Semesters
Say you scored 7.8 in semester one and 8.4 in semester two. Add them to get 16.2, then divide by 2. Your CGPA is 8.1.
Example 2: Eight Semesters With Credits
Take these SGPAs: 7.2, 7.6, 8.0, 8.2, 8.4, 8.6, 8.8 and 9.0. The credits are 20, 22, 24, 24, 22, 22, 20 and 16. Multiply each pair and add them to get 1,394. Divide by 170 total credits and your CGPA is 8.20. A plain average would give 8.23, so the method matters.
SGPA to CGPA of One Semester

What is the CGPA of 7.5 SGPA?
If 7.5 is your only semester so far, your CGPA is 7.5. With more semesters, it becomes the average of all your SGPAs, weighted by credits where your university requires it.
